5 Tips for Getting Healthier

Getting Healthier - 5 Tips

If you’re new to adopting healthy habits, this list of tips is the perfect place to start. Likewise, if you’re passionate about health already, these are a great reminder that the basics are the foundation of living a healthy lifestyle. These 5 tips for getting healthier may be simple, but remember: consistency is key to building a new habit!

5 Healthy Lifestyle Tips (That You Can Start Today)

Tip #1 – Hydrate

The first tip for getting healthier is to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!! According to a survey conducted by New York Hospital and Cornell Medical Center found that 75% of its 3,003 subjects were experiencing net fluid loss from chronic dehydration. I love drinking water – but even better than water is Himalayan Salt Sole Water – check out my YouTube Channel to find out more!

Tip #2 – Take 5

Five minutes of silence, solitude, meditate, plan your plan, write in a journal in the morning or recap in your journal at night- it doesn’t really matter what you do, as long as you do it. It’s so important to tune into what you want to achieve for the day, for the week so you can show up and be the best version of you that you want can be for yourself and those around you that you care about. I remember Tony Robbins quote from a while back, “If you don’t have 10 minutes per day, you have no life.” I cut it in half- start with 5.

Tip #3 – Tune In

Tune into your body and how different things make you feel. The food you are eating – are you tired or energized at 3 pm? After a carbohydrate loaded lunch are you more tired than when you eat a salad and then how does that affect your performance? Do you feel bloated after you eat certain foods? Once you are self-aware of how foods make you feel, you will instantly make more positive changes.

Tip # 4 – Move

It’s important to move your body every day. It doesn’t have to be a vigorous workout just something to get your heart rate up and get your body moving. If you skip a workout that’s okay but ideally don’t go more than three days without exercise.

Tip # 5 – Enjoy the Journey

Understand that fitness and a healthy lifestyle isn’t an overnight cure or something with a finish line. It’s a collection of daily habits that become a lifestyle. It’s learning and trial and error for what is going to work best for you and your body. Check out this post for helpful resources on how to stay motivated.
